How to Use
Break is a premium turn-1 play. For 1 energy, you deal 20 damage AND apply 5 Vulnerable — setting up all subsequent attacks to deal 50% more damage. The ideal sequence: Break → any heavy hitter (Bludgeon, Tear Asunder, or a Strength-buffed Strike). With 5 Vulnerable stacks, even basic attacks become threatening.
Drafting Philosophy Always Pick
Break fits into literally every Ironclad deck. It doesn't require build-around — it IS the build-around. Pick it 100% of the time, regardless of your archetype. It's the most efficient damage-per-energy card in STS2: 20 damage + 5 Vulnerable for 1 energy has no equal. Whether you're running Strength scaling, Exhaust engine, or Block/Body Slam, Break improves every deck.
Key Synergies
One-Two Punch Tear Asunder Bludgeon Demon Form
One-Two Punch doubles your next Attack after Break — that's 2× damage on an already-Vulnerable target. Tear Asunder's multi-hit scales multiplicatively with Vulnerable. Bludgeon (32 base damage) becomes 48 against Vulnerable. Demon Form stacks Strength for even more Break→follow-up burst.
