The biggest main branch update since launch β beta content merged to main, Aeonglass now officially playable, Doormaker removed, Steam Workshop, massive RNG rework, Regent gets 9 card buffs.
- New Aeonglass now available in main branch (Act 4 boss). Doormaker removed entirely.
- New Steam Workshop support β modding officially live. Community mods: custom characters, relics, balance mods.
- Rework RNG system reworked to xoshiro256** β improved fairness and reproducibility. Seed consistency guaranteed.
- New 3 new Neow relics added to starting relic pool.
- Buff Regent β 9 cards buffed: Ritual cards, Monarch's Gaze, Reflect, King's Decree, Crown of Thorns, Siphon, Blood Tithe, Divine Mandate, Spectral Throne. Win rate jumps 30.4% β 31.6%.
- New Bestiary β in-game monster compendium with stat tracking.
- Rework Infested Prism reworked again β new effect and balance profile.
- Fix Numerous bug fixes and performance improvements from beta branch merged.

44+ bug fixes from beta merged to main. Largest stability patch since Major Update 1.
- Fix General: Crash when applying powers to dying entities, Linux ICU/audio bugs, controller navigation for shops/rest sites/card grid, Pandora's Box confirm hotkey blocked, Festering Wounds killing players, potion removal softlock, duplication bosses on saves with removed bosses, multiple Plunder Map cards not all removed after map quest.
- Fix Ironclad: Armaments+ no longer re-offers upgraded cards through Generosity+.
- Fix Defect: Scrape no longer discards 0-energy Astral-cost cards. Devour Shadow tooltip spacing fixed.
- Fix Regent: Summon now places existing Sovereign Blade into hand before forging, not after.
- Fix Enemies: Lagavulin Matriarch Zzz particles, Shrieker VFX on reflect death, Zapper tooltip, Living Mist smoke, Ritual Beast stun/music timing, Withering Touch still giving Strength after stun, Pickpocket Funnel softlock, Hallucinatory Mirror negative Strength carryover.
- Fix Events: Infected Mecha dropping wrong character cards, Boxing Bout cannot discard potions, cannot give Stale Potion to Merchant.
- Fix Ancients: Crash on choosing Ancient relic option, Leafy Poultice no longer transforms Neow-gifted upgraded Strikes/Defends.
- Fix Co-op: Parr's Legion & Gauntlet relic triggers, 1-player co-op launch bug, HP bar overflow, player name bracket errors, Driftwood softlock, Steam 5008 timeout messaging.
- Fix Wilt status cards can no longer be upgraded.
- Fix Wilt cards now properly discard even with retain effects like Runic Pyramid.
Major enemy rework patch with card changes across all characters.
- New Infested Prism full rework — completely new fight patterns.
- Buff Defect Fusion reworked to 1-cost, no-exhaust — now a premier pick.
- Buff Ironclad Entrench now counts Dexterity.
- Buff Defect Death March damage increased.
- Nerf Regent Sealed Throne lost Innate keyword.
- Nerf Silent Shatter damage halved.
- Nerf Haunted Ship lost Ram Speed attack — significantly easier.
- Fix Mummified Hand now prioritizes highest-cost cards in hand.

- Buff Defect Hyperbeam 26(34) → 28(36), Shatter now evokes orbs twice.
- Buff Defect Infused Core adds +1 Lightning damage, Uproar 5(7) → 6(8).
- New 3 Neow relics: Kaleidoscope, Fishing Rod, Silken Tress.
- Fix Critical fix for save corruption on PC crash/power loss.
- Patch cadence shifts to bi-weekly updates.
Ascension difficulty overhaul and card design pivot for two characters.
- New Conflagration reworked: all-enemy AOE, 2 damage x 4(5) hits.
- New Drum of Battle: draw 2, gain 2(3) energy when exhausted.
- New Parry becomes a Power: Sovereign Blade gains Block (scales with Dexterity).
- Buff Lower Ascension easier, high Ascension harder. New tutorial popup on first clear.
- Buff Nightmare now removes debuffs on copied cards.
- Fix Axebots reworked to single stronger enemy; Terminal no longer drops HP below 1.

- Buff Regent Forge scaling slightly increased on late-game relics.
- Fix Resolved desync issues when players used Clone at camp in co-op mode.
- Fix Fixed a rare softlock when all players died simultaneously in multiplayer.
First major post-launch update. Introduced Phobia Mode and a large balance pass across all characters.
- New Phobia Mode: Each character has a unique Phobia modifier (selectable at Neow) that introduces harsh penalties in exchange for bonus rewards.
- Nerf Silent's Prepared reverted back to original effect (draw 1, discard 1).
- Buff Several Defect Power cards received cost reductions.
- Nerf Snecko Eye confusion chance slightly adjusted in co-op.
- Fix Numerous UI fixes for card preview in hand.
- Fix Merged beta hotfixes into main branch for launch stability.
Slay the Spire 2 launched into Steam Early Access with 97% positive reviews on day one. Launch content:
