The Regent is a tactical commander who issues Commands each turn to control the battlefield. Master the Sly mechanic to outmaneuver enemies — Sly increases crit chance and unlocks powerful bonus effects. Stars accumulate from consistent Command execution and persist between combats, powering devastating finishers like Starfall. Complex but incredibly rewarding for players who enjoy tactical decision-making.
Each turn, your Royal Decree relic offers a Command choice (Strike, Defend, Balance, etc.). Following it grants Sly stacks and bonus effects. Tactical Genius gives more Command options — increasing your chance of a good match.
Sly represents tactical advantage. Each stack increases crit chance and unlocks bonus effects on Command cards. At 5 Sly stacks, all attacks ignore enemy block entirely. Manage Sly like a second resource bar.
Stars accumulate when you perfectly execute Commands. At 10 Stars, unleash Starfall — a massive AoE finisher. Stars persist between combats, rewarding consistent play. Enter boss fights with high Stars for a massive advantage.
Maximize Command execution consistency. Tactical Genius gives extra Command choices each turn, ensuring you rarely break Command. Build Sly and Stars simultaneously for overwhelming power. Loyal Subject converts Sly gains into Star generation.
Focus entirely on Sly generation and maintenance. At 5 Sly stacks, you ignore enemy block entirely — making every attack a direct hit. Feint and Cunning Plan generate Sly reliably. Outmaneuver scales Sly to Energy conversion for explosive turns.
Turn defense into offense. Royal Guard blocks and retaliates with damage equal to your block. Defensive Formation generates block and Sly. Stack block while Stars accumulate naturally, then finish with a massive Starfall.
Dedicate your entire strategy to Star generation. Stellar Alignment doubles all Star gains. Path of the Stars generates Stars every turn. Enter boss fights with 15+ Stars and unleash a single Starfall to delete any encounter. Fragile early but unstoppable once momentum is built.
Don't over-commit to any one mechanic — balance Commands, Sly, block, and attacks based on each turn's situation. Adapt your position each turn. Diligence grants block when following Commands. The most reliable Regent build trades peak power for consistency. Perfect for learning the character.
