Silent Poison Build: Stack 999 Poison with Catalyst + Burst
The Poison Build is the Silent's strongest and most reliable archetype. Through exponential multiplication with Catalyst, you can stack Poison from single digits to hundreds or even the game's maximum of 999. Once the poison is applied, it deals damage every turn while you focus entirely on defense — making this one of the safest builds in the game.
How Poison Works
Poison is a debuff applied to enemies. At the start of the enemy's turn, they take damage equal to their current Poison, then the Poison is reduced by 1. The key insight: Catalyst doesn't just add more poison — it multiplies it. A double-cast Catalyst turns 8 Poison into 24 into 72. Triple-cast turns 8 into 24 into 72 into 216.
☠️ Ideal Combo Sequence
Setup → Multiply → Defend → Win
1. Apply initial Poison with Bouncing Flask or Deadly Poison
2. Use Burst → Catalyst+ to triple Poison twice in one turn
3. Block with Backflip, Leg Sweep, or Wraith Form
4. Watch the enemy die to passive Poison damage
Core Cards
Must-Have (S-Tier)
- Catalyst — The heart of the build. Upgraded version triples Poison instead of doubling. This is your win condition — take every copy you see.
- Corpse Explosion — Apply 6-9 Poison. When the enemy dies, deal damage equal to its max HP to ALL enemies. This single card solves every multi-enemy fight.
- Burst — Your next Skill is played twice. Burst + Catalyst turns 2× into 4× or 9× multiplication. The most important combo enabler.
- Well Laid Plans — Retain 1-2 cards each turn. Hold Catalyst until you have Burst. Hold Wraith Form for the boss's big attack. Enables perfect sequencing.
- Wraith Form — 2-3 turns of Intangible (take 1 damage from all hits). The best defensive card in the game, and it costs you nothing in the Poison build since enemies die from passive damage.
Poison Generators (A-Tier)
- Bouncing Flask — Apply 3 Poison to a random enemy 3-4 times. The best initial Poison applier.
- Noxious Fumes — Apply 2-3 Poison to ALL enemies at the start of each turn. Bypasses Artifact. Excellent passive scaling.
- Deadly Poison — Apply 5-7 Poison. Simple, reliable, cheap.
- Crippling Cloud — Apply 4-7 Poison AND 2 Weak to ALL enemies. Great AoE setup.
Defensive & Utility (A-Tier)
- Backflip — 5-8 Block + draw 2 cards. Your best defensive common.
- Leg Sweep — 2 Weak + 11-14 Block. Stops big attacks.
- Adrenaline — 0 cost: gain 1-2 Energy + draw 2 cards. Always take.
- Piercing Wail — ALL enemies lose 6-8 Strength for 1 turn. Nullifies multi-hit attacks.
Best Relics
- Snecko Skull (S) — Apply +1 Poison whenever you apply Poison. Massive value over a long fight.
- The Specimen (A) — When an enemy dies, transfer its Poison to another enemy. Chain reaction kills.
- Twisted Funnel (A) — At the start of combat, apply 4 Poison to ALL enemies. Free initial stack.
- Runic Pyramid (S) — Don't discard your hand. Hold Catalyst and Burst indefinitely. Game-breaking.
- Orange Pellets (S) — Removes debuffs. Clears Wraith Form's Dexterity loss, leaving only the Intangible.
Run Strategy — Stage by Stage
-
Floors 1-8 (Early Act 1):
Survival mode. Silent's Act 1 is rough — take Dagger Spray, Poisoned Stab, Quick Slash. You need attacks to beat elites. Deadly Poison is good but not enough alone. Upgrade Neutralize first.
-
Floors 9-16 (Late Act 1):
Look for your first Bouncing Flask and Noxious Fumes. If offered Catalyst, take it even if you don't have much poison yet — you'll find more. Add Backflip for block and card draw.
-
Floors 17-25 (Early Act 2):
The build comes online. Catalyst + Burst is your goal. Well Laid Plans is a top priority. If you see Corpse Explosion, take it — it solves multi-enemy fights permanently.
-
Floors 26-33 (Late Act 2):
Add defense. Wraith Form wins runs. Leg Sweep, Piercing Wail for mitigation. By now you should have: 3-4 poison sources, at least 1 Catalyst, solid block, and card draw. Remove Strikes.
-
Floors 34-50 (Act 3):
Your deck is now a poison machine. In every fight: apply poison → double/triple it → defend. Bosses die in 3-4 turns to passive damage while you block everything. Nightmare can create 3 additional Catalysts for truly absurd poison stacking.
Matchup Notes
- vs Artifact enemies: Use low-value poison first (Noxious Fumes tick) to strip Artifact charges, then apply your real poison.
- vs Time Eater: Poison is excellent here — you don't need to play many cards. Just apply poison and block.
- vs Awakened One: Don't play Powers in phase 1 unless absolutely necessary. Noxious Fumes gives him Strength.
- vs Donu & Deca: Corpse Explosion on one kills both. The easiest boss fight for this build.
