Necrobinder Summon Build: Flood the Spire with Skeleton Army

🏆 Build Guide · Updated May 16, 2026 · 8 min read · S-Tier

The Summon Army build transforms the Necrobinder into an overwhelming force. By filling the board with Skeletons, Ghosts, and Abominations, you create a wall of minions that tank damage, deal passive damage every turn, and generate massive Soul stacks for devastating finishers. When the build comes together, you barely need to play block cards — your minions handle everything.

How It Works

The core loop has three phases:

  1. Build Your Army — Summon minions to fill all 4 board slots. Skeletons taunt (enemies target them first), Ghosts deal passive damage each turn, Abominations hit hard.
  2. Buff Your Army — Play Undead Commander to give all minions +HP and +damage. Your skeletons become tanky, your ghosts become dangerous.
  3. Overwhelm — Let your minions handle defense and chip damage. Use accumulated Souls for Soul Nova as a finisher.

💀 The Perfect Opening

Turn 1: Play Mass Grave (summon 3 Skeletons) + Undead Commander (buff all).
Turn 2: Add Ghost Form for passive damage. Your board is now full with 3 tanks and 1 DPS.
Turn 3+: Replace fallen minions, use Dark Offering to cycle, accumulate Souls. Finish with Soul Nova.

Board Management Fundamentals

Managing your 4 minion slots is the key skill for this build:

When a skeleton is at 1-2 HP and about to die, sacrifice it with Soul Drain or Dark Offering to extract value before it falls. Then immediately replace it with a fresh summon.

⚠️ Common Mistake: Don't sacrifice your last taunt minion. If you have no Skeletons on board, enemies will attack you directly. Always keep at least 1 taunt minion active.

Run Strategy — Stage by Stage

  1. Floors 1-8 (Early Act 1):

Necrobinder's Act 1 is challenging. Take Bone Throw for damage, Raise Dead for a tank. You need at least 2 summon cards before your first elite. Upgrade Raise Dead for a sturdier skeleton.

  2. Floors 9-16 (Late Act 1):

Look for Bone Legion and Ghost Form. If offered Undead Commander, take it immediately — it's your build-defining Power. By now you should have 3-4 summon cards.

  3. Floors 17-25 (Early Act 2):

The build takes off. Mass Grave is your #1 priority. Dark Offering provides card draw. Your board should be full most turns. This is when the build feels powerful.

  4. Floors 26-33 (Late Act 2):

Refine your Soul economy. Soul Harvest and Soul Nova give you a finisher. Remove Strikes — you'll rarely play attacks manually once your minion engine is running.

  5. Floors 34-50 (Act 3):

Your board should be permanently full with buffed minions. Save Souls for boss fights. Soul Nova at 8+ Souls destroys anything. The Summon Army build is one of the safest ways to clear Act 3.

💡 Pro Tip — Minion Turn Order: Minions act after you play all your cards but before enemies attack. This means you can sacrifice a low-HP minion, play Dark Offering for card draw, summon a fresh Skeleton, and that new Skeleton will tank the incoming enemy attack — all in one turn.
